The Ireland Funds are an international charitable network operating in 12 countries. The Ireland Fund of Great Britain is an integral part of the World Wide Ireland Fund.
The mission of The Ireland Funds is to be the largest worldwide network of people of Irish ancestry and friends of Ireland dedicated to raising funds to
support programmes of peace and reconciliation, arts and culture, education, and community development.
The world wide Ireland Funds host over 100 events annually in 39 cities around the world attended by more than 40,000 people. The flagship event is the New York Gala Dinner, which has been attended by Muhammad Ali, Bill Clinton and Bono.
The world wide Ireland Funds have raised over $350 million for worthy causes in Ireland and around the world.
The annual Ireland Fund conference took place recently, it was the largest gathering of Irish philanthropists to date. Counties Clare and Limerick played host this year. The highlight of the conference was a rousing speech by President Mary McAleese.
