Application Period:
The Ireland Fund of Great Britain will accept applications from 1st January 2013 – 31st December 2013. The application round is run on a rolling basis so there is no deadline.
Evaluation:
Projects will be evaluated by a Grants Assessment Committee who present their recommendations to the Board of Trustees. The Trustees decision is final and we regret that we are unable to enter into conversations or correspondence regarding the decision of the Board. Lobbying will disqualify you from consideration.
Eligibility For A Grant From IFGB:
The Grant Round will consider supporting organisations that have, or would like to start projects that cover the following areas:

Projects which help marginalised people in society, such as homeless people

Vulnerable and/or older Irish Men and Women who do not/cannot/ or are reluctant to access existing services

Projects that tackle loneliness & isolation, such as lunch clubs
-
Projects that help survivors of institutional abuse
-
Social, cultural or educational activities for vulnerable and or elderly Irish men and women
-
Projects that help young people
Rules And Procedures

Not-for-profit and charitable organisations can apply for funding. Grants will not be made to individuals

Organsiations may submit one application for one project per annum
-
Only organisations based in England, Scotland or Wales are eligible to apply. Projects in N. Ireland and the Republic of Ireland need to apply to The Ireland Funds, Dublin. For more information please visit www.theirelandfunds.org/ireland

Grants will not be made to organisations for projects which have been completed, nor for the repayment of debt

Successful applicants must complete a progress reports within six months of receiving the grant. Please note that failure to return the progress report may affect your organisation’s future applications to The Ireland Fund of Great Britain

Successful applicants will be required to supply a copy of the organisation’s Constitution or Memorandum or Articles of Association and the most recent set of Audited Accounts, if applicable, or bank statements

Organiations must be willing to host project visits from staff or donors

A specific sum of money must be sought

Incomplete application forms will not be considered

Applicants may be requested to submit more information before a decision is made

Applicants should be aware that their history with IFGB may affect their application
The Grant Round will not support:

Organisations based outside of England, Scotland and Wales

General appeals – assistance must be sought for clearly specified purposes

Requests from individuals

Tuition or student fees
-
Medical costs
-
Purchase of buildings or land

Construction or refurbishment projects
-
Events
-
All or part of a salary
